BARWA is an SMS- & web-based system dedicated to serve teachers and students in universities and colleges. Lecturers can send SMS to student for fast informing if lectures’ time is changed, send a quizzes or make polls and students can reply and interact by solving quizzes and participate in those polls also using SMS. Current version cannot enter the market because of non- professionality. It needs a technical and financial support so it can be released without problems and mistakes.
BARWA won the third prize in Innovation Fair Oman (INFOM). It is programed by a student from SQU. The company took it upon themselves to nurture student’s ideas and implementation them, therefore BARWA will be the first project done by a student that will be sponsored by the company.
The company welcomes all ICT studens in uninversities and colleges to introduce their ideas to help them to implement their ideas and to open channels to market thier programs.
